Join fellow OC Hokies in beautiful sunny Newport Beach for the start of an exciting football game watching season as Virgina Tech kicks off at home against always tough Appalachian State. These two teams last played in 1982 and the Hokies carry a 3-0 record against the Mountaineers. But we all remember the Michigan game and ASU is not to be taken lightly. With three consecutive NCAA Div I FCS National Championships in 2005, 2206, and 2007, ASU will try to be a spoiler for a very strong Hokies team. Come watch the starting debut for 6\'6\" / 254 lb. starting QB, Logan Thomas, and returning tailback David Wilson. See you on the pier!

Thanks to everyone that came out for Saturday\'s blowout against Wake Forest! Come on out and support the Hokies again as they are in more conference play against the Duke Blue Devils (1-5, 0-3). We are still sitting pretty on top of the Coastal Division of the conference...let\'s keep it that way!
This game is on the ACC network, so we will be all set for good audio and video! (Thanks, Mike) Come join us early Saturday morning, ...and open up Sharkeez with the Bloody Mary bar, breakfast specials, mimosas, or just beer pitchers.
Remember that this is the last Saturday game for a few weeks due to the November 4 Thursday night game, so if you\'ve been waiting all season to come out, this is the time to come visit! Next Saturday game is Nov 13 vs. UNC.

Also! Look for information coming soon on group discounts to tickets to the Hokies\' three basketball games coming up in November at the 76 Classic tournament in Anaheim! Va Tech will be playing in Anaheim Thursday, Friday, and Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend, and we hope to get support from OC Hokies and LA Hokies alike for this event. We will have some hospitality or tailgate set up for the event.

Hokie Softball in CA!

The Virginia Tech Softball team will be out here in southern California playing in the Long Beach State Invitational, the weekend of March 7-9 (see the schedule here at this link: Click Here. They’ll be playing UCLA, Rutgers, Northwestern, Notre Dame and Cal State Northridge. Here is the Long Beach State website with information about tickets: Click Here
This should be one of the rare times to see the team out here; they are currently ranked #24 in the country: Click Here or Here.
Irvine’s Erin Ota a Jr. from Northwood High is one of the team’s stars, along with All-American pitcher Angela Tincher.
Looks like a great chance to root on the Lady Hokies and maybe help them climb in the national rankings.

Tip off is at 10:00am, we need this win with the slump we are currently going through in the ACC. Let`s show the nation and Orange County that we can beat UNC!

To all you Hokies suffering from football withdrawal, this might help a little bit. Hokie Basketball!!! Virginia Tech vs.. #3 Duke on Thursday night (Tip off at 4 PM PST). The game will be on ESPN, and Sharkeez has agreed to show the game and give us sound. This is late notice, so it is more of an announcement than an invitation. There will be several OC Hokies there, so come and join them.
Here is a game that you can put on your calendars, VT plays UNC on Saturday February 16 at 10 AM PST. This will be another nationally televised game that Sharkeez will show. An e-vite will be forthcoming for that game.
Come on out to Sharkeez to see if the state of North Carolina can redeem itself for Tech`s UNC-Duke sweep in hoops last year (not to mention all those football losses ).
